More about Nightstop
Nightstop is an alternative to shelter that adopts a preventative approach to homelessness by intervening at an early stage of crisis in order to help youth secure safe temporary housing, avoiding the shelter system or sleeping "rough" on the streets.
The program engages community members with space in their homes and in their hearts that will support youth who pass a thorough risk assessment by hosting them for a few nights in a safe home. Hosts and youth are supported by Durham Youth Services staff every step of the way.
