NOVA (New Observers to Visual Astronomy) is a 6-week course designed to teach you the basics of practical astronomy and get you started in your exploration of the cosmos! The course is prepared and delivered by The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Toronto Centre, and its topics include: How to Navigate the Sky, Exploring the Solar System, Deep Space targets, Choosing Telescopes and Binoculars, Recognizing Constellations, and the lives of Stars. There will also be discussions about light pollution and black holes.
